Praise & Worship – The Remnant – Now Life Begins with you – 24th August 2019

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
” John 11:25-26 Even when we are worst hit, struggling to stay afloat, and the stench of death is around us, it is never too late for our God. Three days after being wrapped up and buried, He arose as He promised, to overcome the last enemy, death. Now, what can stop us? The problem that aches men since time immemorial – ageing and the ultimate death. We’ve been seeking the elixir of life since ages, the power of reversing the ageing process enchants mankind, billions of dollars in healthcare go into developing the latest methods in the preservation of life. We face a lifelong fight against the clock, against the process of loss and decay. We need to start school on time, earlier than 4 years even better, be in college by 18, be married in the ’20s, assume a minimum of a managerial role by 30, have perfect kids by 45, store up life savings and retire by 60, and all the while we want our body, hair and skin to be taut, voluminous and wrinkle-free, and in that order respectively. We fight a futile battle in the physical, which we have already lost, if not yet, we most assuredly will tomorrow.
Our Kingdom is not of this earth, sure, we need to walk with God while we dwell here physically, but this is not where we retire. Our heart is drawing nearer to Him every day and will not rest until it rests with Him in our eternal Home. Now, what can stop us? Nothing.
So don’t let anything stop your lifestyle of worship. Jesus told Mary and Martha who were faced with the agony of an untimely death of their brother, that those who believe in Him will not die. And they witnessed life in the physical and spiritual that day when they believed.
That resurrection power is in us and we will sing and worship and celebrate the One who shared this eternal Love and His Home with the unworthy, the orphan and the sinner.
Our lives started at the cross, so worship knowing that nothing can stop us on our journey Home.
