Praise & Worship for 1st November 2019

“But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.
Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” Ruth 1:16-17
Like Ruth, we were foreigners, gentiles, for whom the Gospel came was as crumbs that fell off the Children’s table to the floor. Our God showed such compassion and mercy to not exclude us, but include us in His plans, a Love so wide, deep and long, that it had to embrace all of His creation into His open arms. When daily happenings urge us to forgo our God and let go of His statutes, let us remind ourselves to have this attitude of Ruth, to stand firm and say to the Lord, where You go I will go, where You stay, there I will stay. No matter how hard it may seem.
Remind yourself that we are a people who delight in His commands, who delight in His Love, who rejoice in His hope, which always appears as hope against hope. All because our God is the only One who is able, the One who is capable of defying every idea that stands up against us, and bring Hope in every situation, bring victory regardless the size of the hopelessness. A God who has such an everlasting Love that it cannot be contained, it even pours out to the enemies and adversaries, and He expects us also to love like this. And we take joy and delight in this godly thing.
The Lord gives and He takes away, He is in control, He alone gives hope, and He alone makes plans that are good. And we are not just dead and buried in Him, but we will rise as He has risen, and nothing can separate us from the truth of His Love.
Hold steadfastly to this truth as we lift up an offering of our love to this God of ours. As we are blessed to be elected to stand at the pulpit, and declare the gospel through our music, let’s make His Love known, and pour out our love to our God, so this world will see and know the love of Christ that flows through us.
Come and let’s worship His Holy Name …..Let’s bless His Holy Name this Friday, 1st November 2019 @ 5:30 pm as the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords will be amongst us . Don’t miss this power packed session of worship in Truth and in Spirit!
