Be ye doers of the Word!

James 1:22
Every Word of God requires a verb of God is an action!
We are supposed to be acting on the word alone and not just hearing about it!
Similarly, just like when we walk with one eye open instead of two, there are so many things we miss out on and have more chances of being in an accident. So many things are kept away from us if we’re like this, our eyes need to be fully open.
About Giving:
2 Cor 5:14-15
Jesus let go of everything so we could attain salvation. Just one instruction from God the Father was enough for Jesus to obey for the salvation of all men!
We should also be selfless children of God when it comes to Jesus and the things of God.
Whatever you have, don’t think about yourself alone but what God can do through you!
Giving is a common word but the verb/action is very uncommon.
2 Cor 8:1-7
Excel in giving not just when you have it all but also when you have nothing like the Macedonian church. The Macedonian church gave to the church in Jerusalem even when they had nothing much.
He is cautioning the Corinthians to do likewise.
The Macedonian church pleads to have their gift accepted!
The Corinthians were excellent in many things but Paul reminds them of the excellent thing that is giving!!!
Philippians 4:15
Luke 6:38
This is a phenomenon that many people miss! It’s not just about giving money but all things to do with time, talents and the like.
- Giving is supernatural!
Because it’s uncommon!
Giving does not come easy.
You let go of your comfort and make others happy.
Acts 2:44-45
Acts 4:33&34
- God gives you the ability and grace to give. Giving is a grace! 2 Corinthians 9:8
God wants us to see the full grace of what He has asked us to do in this life. And God is able to generously provide all that’s needed!!
Giving and receiving are powerful things!
Our prayer should be that God makes us a blessing: not just “God Bless me, Bless Me…”
- Giving is a ministry!
Ephesians 3:20
Luke 8:1-3
These ladies Susanna, Joanna and Mary Magdalene gave of their resources to support Jesus and His ministry!
We need to step out in faith and we shall see his goodness arise.
We need to understand the principle of giving then God will do more things later on through and for us!
