Praise & Worship for 28th Feburary 2020

Praise the Lord!
“For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6
“Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.” Ecc 5.1
“If you do what is right, will you (your sacrifice) not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Genesis 4:7
The Book of Ecclesiastes was penned in the prosperous days of King Solomon, while Hosea prophesied in the tragic final days of the northern kingdom of Israel. God’s expectation from sacrifice remains the same through all time, as is seen in the first human family affairs as well, with Cain and Abel, way before any laws and commands were given.
God’s Heart remains the same, unchanged, regardless the condition of man, or the state of kings and kingdoms, don’t bring Him an offering of foolishness and meaninglessness, without uprightness in our hearts. In doing so, we indirectly demean the unfathomable wisdom and understanding of God, and His ability to see the intention of our hearts, we indirectly play God for a fool.
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15
Through our awesome Jesus, God makes all His business known to us, He calls us His friends. So between friends, He speaks openly, clearly, without riddles, face-to-face, and speaks everything. And He freely tells us to be aware of His purity when we come before, stand knowing Who He is, and with integrity of hearts.
Let’s be faithful friends, and show our love, our love to Jesus, acknowledge Him in all things, and extend the same deep and unchanging friendship to our God, in return for all that He has done for us, let’s bring Him an offering of our hearts, a living sacrifice to please His Heart, standing in awe of God, knowing that we have a Forever Friend in the highest place making it all happen well for us!
See you at 5:30pm onwards at the venue.
God Bless us all!
