Praise & Worship for 29th November 2019

As the world celebrates Thanksgiving, we want to take this opportunity to thank the Lord for the brothers and sisters in arms in ministry. The promise over our worship service has been to bring restoration to the remnant of God, out of the hands of the oppressor, to purify their lips, and ready a people, who will call on the Name of our Living God, the Savior King Jesus, the Name above all other names. and serve Him along with us, Shoulder to Shoulder.
“Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,
that all of them may call on the name of the Lord
and serve him shoulder to shoulder.”
that all of them may call on the name of the Lord
and serve him shoulder to shoulder.”
Zephaniah 3:9
Shoulder to shoulder implies we need to stand side by side in battle, eyes in front, but none at the back, we trust our brothers and sisters to cover our back, while we cover theirs. We will have many friends and people professing to be our brothers and sisters, but as the Bible rightly states,
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”
Proverbs 17:17
Every week we walk into the battlefield together, fighting our own web of adversities, and then taking on and fighting the adversities of those we lead into the worship offering, I thank and praise the Lord that the army standing in the front line of worship are a group of fighting people, warrior men and women of God (Joel 3:9), troublemakers (1 Kings 18:17), riot starters, ringleaders of a Nazrene sect (Acts 24:5), a band of survivors (2 Kings 19:31), war clubs, battle weapons in the Hands of the Lord (Jer 51:20)!
We were made a family by a Brother who fought every power and darkness and shed His own blood and overcame every principality and the ultimate adversity of death, so now we have that very same blood running in our veins, with the very same fight in us. We were forged by the Love of a Brother at a time of adversity, and hence we too will love, fight and win as He did, brothers and sisters forged out of adversity, more than just friends.
Come tomorrow Friday , 29th November 2019 @ 5:30pm onwards with grateful hearts to our Father who gave us a Brother and Friend in Jesus, and gave us each other to serve alongside, shoulder to shoulder. Come wielding the weapon of praise. When the people are as captivated as we are by Jesus, they will never be the same again.
Remember each other in prayers.God Bless you all!
Amen !
