A Warrior’s Way

Exodus 15:3
The God that we serve is a warrior. The Lord is His Name.
He fights and as a father, He fights for us.
He doesn’t sit back and get assistants or privates to do the job but He does the fighting Himself.
If we accepted Jesus as our Lord, we have to know that we’re under His Authority and He is in charge. If we’re under His command we are in His army.
Joshua 5:14
Therefore we are warriors too because it is His nature and we’re created in His image. It’s in my DNA.
It is in you whether you like it or not. It’s not cultural, not inherited and it’s a GOD thing!
Jesus is and will be the greatest warrior; a commander, the General (Sar Tzeva Hashem).
Jesus was not a Divine Doormat who just does what people want but He was the kind who rebelled against religion and was a freedom fighter who turned tables and challenged popular culture. He’s a champion with a cloak dipped in blood and riding a White Horse.
Rev 19:13
Whether you like it or not, whether you know it or not, when you accepted Him as Captain of your life, you signed the dotted line and enlisted in the army.
So wake up and smell the coffee; you’re in a war and you don’t even know it! There’s a fight for your life and a struggle for your soul.
Paul the Apostle reminds us to hold onto our salvation. As though someone is trying to distract you, and pluck the prize from your hands or pull the carpet from under your feet; tries to destroy your well-being so that you end up being a worrier and not a Warrior!
How do we walk out of here to go out and face situations? Do we go as warriors or “worriers”?
The true colours of a believer or Christian are seen when we’re in the toughest of times.
There’s a way of a warrior! Some have just been recruited, others are famished, and need replenishment. Whichever stage you’re at, remember the Lord goes ahead of us. As long as you are under God’s command and choose to remain there He’ll fight for you.
As Timothy was a timid child(just like many of us), Paul encouraged him to be a fighter!
1 Tim 6:12 1. Fight the good fight of faith.
What to do like a good warrior?
- We need to be sanctified warriors by living a holy life.
- To be content with what we have: a warrior must be content and fight what he must fight but not running around.
1 Tim 6:12
Is it our end goal to be rich and wealthy just for people’s approval? Let love for money not enslave us.
- Avoiding friendly fire.
1Tim6:10
Don’t shoot yourself in the foot nor should you shoot others in the church/body of Christ!
Where is our priority?
- Guarding/contending for the faith.
We are supposed to stand for the doctrine of the truth written in the scriptures and not just going after fancy doctrines.
So the salvation as a helmet that guards the head/mind, let’s guard our salvation dearly!
The enemy knew us at the time when we were born but God knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb.
Let’s not be timid but run with God.
Some of us may lose some battles but let’s not be broken-hearted and sometimes God works things that way. God says you may lose battles but at the end, He wins the War for you.
Sometimes God uses our failure in a battle to trick the devil.
Jesus is the answer, not our jobs, status or money.
Zephaniah 3:17
So when you get to prayer, know who you are and take up your position as a warrior. Amen!
