Using your talents for God

1 Cor 12:4-7
- We all have talents that God has given to all of us; there are diversities of Gifts but all of the same spirit.
In Verse 4, it says that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. This means that the different gifts and talents we have are for the benefit and edification of all members of the church.
- There is a difference between natural talents and spiritual gifts but we should use all of them for God’s glory!
- We do not have to look at others and be envious of them or imagine they’re more anointed or more special than us simply because they have different gifts. The body of Christ was designed to function with many parts all having different responsibilities.
- Every gift is important to God and to the body of Christ however small, it may seem. We should remember that at the end of our journey on earth we shall give an account of what we did with our gifts and talents.
- Let’s be excited to use our talents for God’s glory. Whether it is being friendly, sharing, singing or any other gift, God has placed a specific part for each of us to play with that gift.
- We ought to give our ambitions to God so he’ll use them His way for His Glory. Let our service not be for show or for titles because God puts down the proud and lifts up the humble!
Isaiah 1:19
If we serve God obediently and with a pure heart, he’ll reward us definitely.
Galatians 6:9-10
Let’s not give up the habit of doing good and above all let’s do good mostly to those in the household of faith.
- Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, ‘Rejoice’! Phil 4:4
Paul commands us to Rejoice at all times because as Christians this is where our victory is won. It’s not that we shall never go through tough situations but that God shall be with us through it all.
That’s why he commands us to Rejoice at all times because no matter what we are always more than conquerors.
Praise God!
