“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

” John 11:25-26 Even when we are worst hit, struggling to stay afloat, and the stench of death is around us, it is never too late for our God. Three days after being wrapped up and buried, He arose as He promised, to overcome the last enemy, death. Now, what can stop us? The problem that aches men since time immemorial – ageing and the ultimate death. We’ve been seeking the elixir of life since ages, the power of reversing the ageing process enchants mankind, billions of dollars in healthcare go into developing the latest methods in the preservation of life. We face a lifelong fight against the clock, against the process of loss and decay. We need to start school on time, earlier than 4 years even better, be in college by 18, be married in the ’20s, assume a minimum of a managerial role by 30, have perfect kids by 45, store up life savings and retire by 60, and all the while we want our body, hair and skin to be taut, voluminous and wrinkle-free, and in that order respectively. We fight a futile battle in the physical, which we have already lost, if not yet, we most assuredly will tomorrow.

Our Kingdom is not of this earth, sure, we need to walk with God while we dwell here physically, but this is not where we retire. Our heart is drawing nearer to Him every day and will not rest until it rests with Him in our eternal Home. Now, what can stop us? Nothing.

So don’t let anything stop your lifestyle of worship. Jesus told Mary and Martha who were faced with the agony of an untimely death of their brother, that those who believe in Him will not die. And they witnessed life in the physical and spiritual that day when they believed.

That resurrection power is in us and we will sing and worship and celebrate the One who shared this eternal Love and His Home with the unworthy, the orphan and the sinner.

Our lives started at the cross, so worship knowing that nothing can stop us on our journey Home.

Praise be to God.

Psalms 144:1,2

1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples[a] under me.

We may face troubles and battles in our human life, It may be a storm that rocks our ship, we may become anxious, feel lost, however, we see that David in his battle begins by blessing the Lord and the Lord is faithful to him.

The Lord Prepares David for Battle, He protects him during Battle and Places David on the Throne.

God will give us a greater anointing and greater Authority because he is faithful.

Let us just submit to his will.

All Glory to God

The church at Philadelphia, one of the seven churches mentioned in the Book Revelation; God found this church to be perfect.

Our prayer is that our church shall be like this church that was praised and was an exemplary one. This was the youngest and smallest of all the cities at that time in comparison with the other cities to which letters were written.

There are two perspectives to the text:

1. Practical perspective. The then existing church at that moment.

2. The prophetic perspective of a church(es) to come.

3. A personal perspective.

Many times we ask ourselves why God tests us and why so hard but God says during that time, He wants to bring out the best in us. Worship has to come from inside. The intention of God testing Abraham was to see what was really in his heart. It’s no problem how long you have been a Christian but what is the reality inside you?

You may have started well and had a good journey so far but God wants to know what’s your priority.

Ask yourself what your priority is: is it material things or is it God’s glory?

Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.”

Deut. 31:7 The Lord has charged us with great promises and mighty goals to achieve, for His Name’s sake. The journey to the promise can be weary with the chance of victory looking bleak on most days. The circumstances often seem unfavourable, the people around are always exhausting, there appear roadblocks at every turn, and criticism falls like rain from every side. Can anything good ever come out of us?

Remind yourself this – God Who has called us will see the task to completion. His promises are good – don’t doubt it, they still stand – He is not a liar, they are not a mistake – trust Him, He has shown us His faithfulness before – He will not change, He will do it again and again in our lives. He showcases His glory in us, He wants to make a show of His children to the world, a distinction from the children of the world. Your promises are magnanimous because our God can only make plans according to His standard. He is raising us up to His standard, so stand firm.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deut. 31:7 None of this is on our own. His Spirit is the Friend that will never leave us nor forsake us. Stand steady, the Artist is holding you and perfecting you in His Hands, while He fulfils His plans. Stand firm in the faith.
